Bobby Bowden Decided to Win at Life Through Jesus Christ (Gospel Light Minute #6)

He coached the Florida State Seminoles football team from 1976 to 2009. During his time at Florida State, he led his team to an Associated Press and Coaches Poll National Title in 1993 and a BCS National Championship in 1999. He also led his team to win twelve Atlantic Coast Conference championships since FSU joined the
conference in 1991.

He retired from coaching on December 1, 2009 as the second winningest coach in college football, having only one losing season in his 34 years at Florida State. His final coaching appearance was at the 2010 Gator Bowl game on January 1, 2010, which ended in a 33–21 victory over his former program, West Virginia. Although raised in a Christian home and making a public profession of faith in Christ at age 10, it wasn’t until he was 23 years old when he rededicated his life to Jesus Christ.

During his 46 years of coaching, he has been responsible for showing nearly 5000 young men the path to Jesus Christ. Reflecting on his career successes and what God has taught him through coaching, he said, “If you love Him and serve Him and try to be loyal to Him and obedient to Him, He’s not going to let you fail. That’s the thing that has happened to me.” His name is Bobby Bowden.

GLMX #25: The Resurrection of Jesus Christ: Did It Really Happen?

Islam and Judaism swear the resurrection of Jesus Christ never happened. Jehovah’s Witnesses claim Jesus’ physical body was discarded, destroyed, or dissolved into gasses. Jesus Seminar fellows laugh it off as mere wishful thinking. What if they are right? What if
Jesus wasn’t raised from the dead?

If that’s the case, there is no Christianity…no hope…no future. But if Christianity is factually reliable, then Jesus’ resurrection is the greatest feat in human history. There is no middle ground.

So how can we know today what actually happened 2,000 years ago?

In today’s Gospel Light Minute Extended Broadcast, Daniel Whyte III shares evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
